I went to the doctor today to see Dr. Hoehn. She looked at my eye and although MOSD has been wonderful about patching, it just hasn't done the trick. I will be having eye surgery on July 8 to correct the turning of my left eye. This will be a one hour surgery and if everything goes as planned, I will be coming home the same afternoon. Mommy & Daddy told Dr. Hoehn that I do not recover well from anesthesia. Hopefully this will be the fix for my eye.

- Nola Gracyn's journal is to help others keep up with our little miracle. She was born with congenital hydrocephalus and has had 3 surgeries as a result- shunt placement & 2 revisions. Nola was diagnosed with profound hearing loss in the Summer 2009, and had bi-lateral cochlear implant surgery on December 14. Nola was "turned on" January 6, 2010. Nothing will stop this spunky little thing! She amazes her Mommy & Daddy everyday and charms everyone she meets. We cannot imagine life without her!

Praying that she does fine with the anesthesia! The recovery from eye surgery was a snap for Miles. Hope it works for Nola, too!
