A Weekend Away

Mommy & Daddy are taking me to St. Louis. I am going to have a blast at Grant's Farm, the St. Louis Zoo, and any other great places they might take me! Mimi and Big Dad are going too. Momy and Daddy say I deserve this fun weekend away before my surgery. They said they need it too!

Surgery :(

I went for my CT scan with Dr. Muhlbauer and it showed I need another surgery. My catheter is clogged/pinched again on the right side where my shunt is. I will also have a catheter placed on the left side and it will connect to my already existing shunt. This is due to the fact my left ventricle is still not collapsing like they thought it would.
Me, Mommy, & Daddy will go back to LeBonheur Children's on June 1.

Mommy & Daddy say thank goodness I have the best Neurosurgeon around...Dr. Muhlbauer!!

Speech Therapy

The ST is putting together the report and we should have it next week. They said to continue to work on recpetive language such as pointing to body parts and non-communcative sounds such as making the sounds of a car horn, cow, etc. We will know more when we get the report- but we are on our way!

A thought from my Mommy!....

“The child must know that he is a miracle, that since the beginning of the world there hasn't been, and until the end of the world there will not be, another child like him.” -Pablo Casals

This quote I found really puts into words how I want Nola to feel. She is my little miracle and I want her to always know there is no one else like her and how special she really is. I want her to know I will work everyday to make sure she feels the love of those who surround her. Nola is my little ray of sunshine!! -Nola's Mommy

Waiting on Mommy to Get Home

Mommy had to stay late at her school for TCAP night. Duke and I were waiting patiently for Mommy. Daddy took the picture!

Outside Fun

Now that it is getting warmer outside, I love to play until I cannot play anymore!
Mommy says she likes the picture showing my curls in the back. My hair on the right side still hasn't caught up with the left since it was shaved for my shunt revision surgery back in August. Mommy and Daddy say it will though.
