So I have been B.A.D. about updating! Nola is sleeping in her own bed until the wee hours of the morning- then she comes into our room. It is a great start and I am thankful she now enjoys sleeping in her bed. We still need to work on the soothing herself back to sleep. I'm not sure how to teach a 3 year old that skill again. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
We have been invited to be part of a study through Washington University. They are looking at the language development of children who receive cochlear implants before the age of 36 months. Nola got hers at 26 months. I am excited Nola's was asked to be a part of this study!
I need to post pictures of her in her valentines outfit. She was SO CUTE!

- Nola Gracyn's journal is to help others keep up with our little miracle. She was born with congenital hydrocephalus and has had 3 surgeries as a result- shunt placement & 2 revisions. Nola was diagnosed with profound hearing loss in the Summer 2009, and had bi-lateral cochlear implant surgery on December 14. Nola was "turned on" January 6, 2010. Nothing will stop this spunky little thing! She amazes her Mommy & Daddy everyday and charms everyone she meets. We cannot imagine life without her!
